vision & mission

What TrackingTime is, and why it works this way.

Tracked hours should do more than fill a timesheet. Profitability matters more than hours logged, because knowing time was tracked never showed whether a client was worth keeping. Clients deserve real, up-to-date numbers instead of a report assembled after the fact.

Visibility means seeing where the work stands, without watching how people spend their day. Software should fit how a service business runs, with retainers, billable rates and client reporting built in from the start.

Foundations

Built by people who run an agency.

We run Estado Digital, today Big Partners, a digital agency in Buenos Aires. Client work, billing cycles, staffing pressure, retainers that need watching, that’s the daily reality we operate in, not a market we researched from outside.

Growing meant more projects, more clients and more people, but our grip on where the hours actually went was getting worse, not better. Spreadsheets and memory weren’t enough to know which clients were profitable, which retainers were running over, or who was overloaded. So we built something for ourselves first. What started as an internal tool to keep the agency’s projects, budgets and hours under control became TrackingTime once other agencies asked to use it too.

That’s still the test. Every feature since has had to earn its place the same way the first version did, proven against what our own agency needs to run its business.

We’re still here. Eric Tulle, Diego Wyllie and Leo Custer lead TrackingTime today, the same three who run Big Partners alongside it.

01

Started inside an agency

We were juggling too many projects to track by hand, so we created the tool our company needed.

02

Built from service work

Projects, clients and billable hours were the daily reality we worked in, like every other service business.

03

Beyond a timer

We grew from logging hours to connecting time with projects and reporting, turning time into decisions.

04

Clarity for teams

Work stays visible and measurable for the whole team, built on reliable time data.

In practice

This is what a time-based
back office looks like.

Three outcomes, straight from the hours logged.

See it for yourself

01 / Profitability

Margin, visible before you close.

02 / Visibility

Clients get their own view of progress.

03 / Payroll

Time data, always payroll-ready.

coverage

The back office only works if every hour makes it in.

Every hour has to make it in, wherever it happens, or billing, payroll and reporting empty out from the start.

Web

No install needed, and always the latest version. Open a browser, log in, and start tracking time against the right project without waiting on an update or a download.

Desktop

Runs quietly in the background on Windows and Mac, ready the moment work starts. No browser tab to keep open, just a timer that stays out of the way until it’s needed.

Mobile

iOS and Android apps that keep hours in sync with the rest of the team, so time logged on the move shows up just like time logged from a desk.

Browser extension

Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, embedded right inside the tools the team already has open, so a project doesn’t need a separate tab just to track the hours spent on it.

Integrations

Time tracking that lives where the team already works.

60+ integrations, with Microsoft 365 and AI assistants leading the way.

Microsoft 365

TrackingTime lives inside Microsoft Teams and connects to Planner, Outlook and Azure DevOps, so teams already running on Microsoft never have to open a separate app to track time.

Project & dev tools

One-click timers inside Jira, Asana, ClickUp, Linear, GitHub and dozens of other tools, so time gets logged from the same place the work already happens, without ever switching tabs.

AI assistants

An MCP server exposes TrackingTime data directly to AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT, so time data can be queried, summarized and used in context without opening the app at all.

Communication & workspace

Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, Zapier and dozens of other apps connect TrackingTime to the rest of the stack, covering 60+ integrations across communication, docs and automation tools.

Philosophy

Growth should be the only reason to upgrade.

Two decisions that shape how TrackingTime works, made on purpose.

How we price

Most software grows its price by taking something away first: capping users, gating a feature, throttling a plan until upgrading feels like the only option. TrackingTime’s free plan already includes unlimited users, so growth is never about paying to remove a cap. Plans are built around operational stages instead, so moving up always means the business needs more.

How we scope

TrackingTime is built around projects with clients, tasks and hours behind them, the way agencies and companies that sell time work. Generic project tools try to fit every kind of team, which means retainers, billable rates and client reporting stay shallow at best. That focus is what lets TrackingTime go deep on billing, retainers and reporting for exactly this kind of team.
