The times are changing, we keep growing and expanding and our servers demand more and more power. As we continue to work hard to provide the best time tracking app out there, sometimes we need to make hard choices.
On February 1st, 2017 we’ll be shutting down TrackingTime Classic.
Since we released the brand-new TrackingTime in April this year, the vast majority of our users adopted the new version. Currently, Classic is used by merely about 200 users and is holding us back to make improvements in TrackingTime PRO due to incompatibility issues with new APIs. As you know, servers and development cost money. Offering an old and incompatible service that might cause issues for all users of the new TrackingTime goes against our vision.
Classic users will be able to get PRO Basic for free up to 3 users, or opt for our PRO Plans if the team is bigger without losing their data.
For those of you who stood with Classic because of the color of the user interface: a few months ago we released a dark theme for PRO, so you don’t have to worry about a white UI anymore.
New limits on free plans
In order to keep delivering great services and real-time features the free Basic Plan will be limited to 50 active projects, 1000 tasks and 2 months of data history for creating reports. We won’t delete your information, but you’ll need to archive all the projects you’re not currently working on in order to add new projects. Here’s how to do so.
If you really need to have more than 50 active projects or over 1000 tasks you should consider subscribing to a PRO plan.
We don’t take any change to our pricing model lightly, and we never take you for granted. This is in order to keep moving forward providing the best service we can to all of our users. We hope you’ll continue to track your hard working hours and improve your productivity with us.
