Want to Be Really Productive? Eat a Live Frog First Thing in the Morning!

“Eat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.”

Mark Twain

It’s hard to believe that you fail to be productive because there is a big ugly task staring at you, and you don’t want to look at it. But it is true.

What Is a “Frog” for Your Productivity?

There’s always something that we know is going to help us feel better but for some reason we push it to the end of our list until it’s too late to do it. Next we feel discouraged, not been able to perform that particular task makes us feel like everything else lacks of value. For instance, you might be a web designer of the conventional Cooltechzone company and might have a long list of tasks that must be completed until this eve. You start pushing your tasks to the end of your day without reaching any of your goals in a matter of fact. You “wasted” our day.

Actually, it doesn’t matter how productive we have been but how we value the things we have done. You might have finished 15 tasks on your to do list and still feel like you haven’t achieved anything.

So… what’s your “frog”? What’s that big, horrible thing, you need to swallow first thing in the morning so you feel like you’ve got the world in your hands?

The “Frog” Might Be Personal

A personal project that will make the difference between a regular day and a day were you are becoming who you want to be. Can be something creative, can be working out. It is whatever gets you closer to your personal goals, instead of only using your time more efficiently. Or business related, like that big project that requires a lot of decision making, so you focus on other projects instead.

Usually the “Frog” Is Something That Needs to Be Approached Daily

You have to look right to its face for a long period, knowing that is not going to be finished with a one-time effort.

That’s the Reason Why You Keep Putting It Off

So, eat a live frog first thing in the morning! Whatever your “frog” is, attack it as soon as you can, every day, until you start to feel accomplished, and that ugly “frog” turns into a prince.
